Purchasing Planner

The Purchasing Planner will be responsible for managing the company’s inventory levels, creating purchase orders, and ensuring that orders are delivered on time. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure that all materials and supplies are available to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Create and manage purchase orders for materials and supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials and supplies are ordered in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with production schedules
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers and vendors
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis of purchasing data
• Ensure that all orders are delivered on time and in full
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare reports as needed
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to purchasing and inventory management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with purchasing and inventory management software preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
